For as long as I can remember I have felt called to offer coaching, mentoring, healing or to just help people. It’s who I am as a person – not something separate outside of me.

Hi,

I’m Megan North founder of Wellness While Working.  I am a Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Certified Energy Healer and a passionate advocate for mental health and wellbeing.  Before I created Wellness While Working, I held several leadership roles in HR both in Australia and globally in a career spanning over 20 years.

Embracing change

The world tells us that to succeed in business, we must hustle harder, work longer hours, and sacrifice our wellbeing.  But what if I told you that the path to true success doesn’t lie in perpetual busyness, but in simplicity and mindful growth?  I truly believe in dismantling the overwhelm paradox – the notion that chaos is an inevitable companion on the road to success.  Together, we’ll explore how to leverage overwhelm as a signal for change, a call to reassess priorities, and an invitation to redefine your relationship with both your career, your family and yourself.

I won’t stop being someone who nurtures and supports people to become the best version of themselves just because I am no longer employed in a traditional HR role.  In fact, this experience, combined with my health and wellness coaching and energy healing underpins our coaching sessions here at Wellness While Working

Similarly, we have nothing to lose and everything to gain when we make that commitment to change – whether that’s making a promise to ourselves to look after our mental health, our general health and wellbeing or something else entirely. Change isn’t an event, it’s a process and the changes you wish to make don’t have to be huge to create the desired ripple effects in your life.

The ME in Megan

For as long as I can remember I have felt called to offer coaching, mentoring, healing or to just help people.  It’s who I am as a person – not something separate outside of me.

I’m the youngest of 6 children with 17 years between myself and my eldest sibling and 8 years between me and my next sibling.  I grew up in an adult world, watching and listening to the adults around me.  I was blessed to have such a large, supportive and loving family around me.

As I got older, I experienced the knocks many of us experience but my life took a dramatic turn was when I lost my mum in 2014 and then my dad just two years later.  For those of you who have experienced the loss of a parent, you’ll know the cataclysmic impact this has on your life and the tsunami of emotions that follow.

This was a turning point that sent me looking for answers to the questions I had about life and the Universe.  I found myself looking for both traditional and alternative ways to help me through this time.  I realised that it’s not just one thing that helped me, it was a combination of so many things, coaching, mentoring, counselling and healing.

I realised this was something I could offer to others, so I founded Wellness While Working – a unique business that creates a safe space to explore both traditional and alternative ways to make change.

I believe it is perfectly possible to pursue a career, have ambitious goals and aspire to become the best version of yourself – to do so consciously and courageously in a way that’s aligned to our wellbeing – not at the expense of it. The ability to show up authentically benefits everyone, especially you, and if you can work on overcoming the overwhelm you will gain skills that will see you living your life with optimal mental health, wellbeing and balance.

With love and respect,

Megan North
